Zeb Powell first teamed up with Red Bull to bring athletes together for Red Bull Slide-In Tour in 2017. It began and continues to be an opportunity for riders to come together in a format other than competitions. “The tour is where we can be our most creative selves,” Powell said. “There is no risk to throwing crazy tricks or trying something new since it’s not a competition. When we are all together, we also come up with things that we wouldn’t come up with on our own.” The tour roster includes Red Bull Snowboarders X Games Gold Medalist, Zeb Powell, Dutch rail master and X Games Real Snow Bronze medalist, Jesse Augustinus, both staples of the tour since its inception. Joining the team will be Vermont native and Red Bull Heavy Metal winner, Maggie Leon, who has co-captained the tour with Powell. Also on the roster will be Grace Warner, Alex Caccamo, Brolin Mawejje and Brantley Mullins. More special guests will be announced throughout the tour. This year, the tour goes national, expanding past the east coast for the first time, including stops at Copper Mountain (March 4- March 5), Boreal Mountain (March 18 –March 19), and Killington Mountain (March 31- April 2).
Different from years past, the tour will stay at each resort for at least two full days. "I announced this in 2020 but making the mountain more colorful is a mission I am going to continue to stay true to with everything I do,” stated Powell. “Rather than build our own clinic programs, we wanted to lean into our existing partners and use the Slide-In Tour as an opportunity to expand on what they are already doing and the strides they are making in the space.” To increase accessibility to these experiences, Zeb has also implemented progression park clinics at every stop on this years’ Red Bull Slide-in Tour. These progressions clinics will take place at parks lower on the mountain, allowing riders to access parks without purchasing a lift ticket.
