Every year, near the 7th Heaven chairlift on Blackcomb, Mother Nature creates a giant wind lip that begs to be shaped into a quarter pipe. For decades this feature has been sessioned by legends of our sport including JF Pelchat, owner of NOW Bindings who's been in Whistler since 1990. JF showed the spot to Fridge and Mons Røisland during one of their last day in Whistler this past April for something fun to other than riding park. The boys were super pumped to discover this gem and the session went off!

"The Blackcomb QP is a legendary landmark, it's right beside the 7th heaven chairs so easily accessible. Every year it forms differently... some better than others depending on the snow accumulation and the wind. Last spring everything lined up, and it was a great year for the built, I was stoked to bring some of my team riders to this spot where many famous Canadian boarders have made their mark over the years. The day started very cloudy and we even went inside thinking that we were doomed but we decided to go there anyway. As we got there the sun started to peak through the clouds and we all got excited! We quickly started shaping with some locals joining and landing a hand.
