In any country but Japan, hitting a down-flat-down in a park buried under feet of snow would be a cakewalk. You could be there all day—have a beer, build a snowman, and make friends with locals walking their dogs. Not in Japan. In Japan, you pull up in the van, jump out with shovels in hand like some kind of bank heist, and make the clip happen ASAP because you know the cops are coming. In this case, they showed up multiple times, ultimately culminating in Sav, Colton, and me walking quickly—then running—across the park with police post-holing after us. After a sprint up the large stair set, we jumped into the already-running van, now full with all six people, and slid the door closed. As we sped off, Colton replayed the clip through his viewfinder.
