On Friday August 19th 2022, Zak Hale battled Riley Nickerson in the head to head elimination of the first round of the 2022 Game Of Big SNOW presented by Dakine at Big Snow American Dream in East Rutherford, NJ. Zak Hale had his work cut out for him as he faced the 2021 second place finisher in Riley Nickerson yet the Big Bear born Hale wouldn't cower. While Riley matched Hale trick for trick Zak would persevere dealing Riley letters on tricks like switch backside nose presses and backside 270's on the down flat down. Zak Hale advances to face Reid Smith in the quarterfinals of the 2022 Game Of Big SNOW presented by Dakine.
